Clermont Foot has officially announced its second signing of the offseason. Always in the offensive sector. After Arthur Saintorens, arrived at the beginning of July from Bayonne, the Auvergne club records the arrival of striker Christ Okou (20 years old). The latter is loaned out for a season in Auvergne by Paris FC (Ligue 1). Not much is known about this tall striker (1.90 m) from Champigny-sur-Marne in the Paris region and who signed his first professional contract (three years) with Paris FC. The second club of the capital wants him to settle, hence this loan in Ligue 2. Karim Fradin, the football director of CF63, cuts short any criticism of the supposed inexperience of young Okou, even if he has never played as a pro. This Franco-Ivorian was until then with the reserve team of the Paris region. Fradin repeats that the PFC counts on him for the future. Clermont hopes, on the other hand, a nice coup. "His age (20 years old), is not a problem, adds the former Bayonnais. I just want performing boys. I think he can bring us. It's talent we need. There will still be projects to be carried out ahead, but you know, the context is complicated. Look up above, clubs like Marseille or Nice are also in the same case. But we also need departures because we have a too large current effect". Christ Okou will be present and should make his debut under his new colors this Saturday (kick-off at 17 hours) at Andrézieux against Grenoble (Ligue 2) before the start of the championship, Saturday 8 August, at Clermont, against Reims. Paris FC is currently 12th in Ligue 1 with 35 points, 8 wins, 11 draws and 10 losses in 29 matches. The club is 28 points behind the leaders Paris Saint Germain. The next match of Paris FC will be against Angers away on 20 February 2027.
