AG.AL was crowned Club Champion at the 2026 eSports World Cup (EWC) in Paris, concluding seven weeks of competition that brought together more than 2,000 players, 200 clubs, and over 100 countries. The club earned a $7 million prize after winning the inaugural Trackmania tournament.

Gwendal "Gwen" Duparc won the Trackmania tournament, securing the final victory for the team with a score of 5,300 points. The club also finished first in Tekken 8, second in Chess, Free Fire, and Honor of Kings World Cup, and third in Teamfight Tactics. The following teams completed the standings: Team Falcons (4,600 points), Team Vitality (3,300 points), Natus Vincere (2,950 points), and Team Liquid (2,700 points).
Records and Impact
The Paris 2026 EWC set new records: a prize pool of $75 million (~717 crore INR), 850 million viewers, 440 million hours watched, 175,000 tickets sold, and more than 2 million total visits across venues, Fan Fest, and city activations. The event was broadcast by over 100 broadcast and OTT partners in 47 languages, with 5,000 creators and co-streamers participating.
Future Perspectives
AG.AL’s success underscores the club’s global expansion vision launched in 2024. COO Eddy Chen praised the collective performance and the leadership of M. Layne Le. The MOU signed between the eSports Foundation and the French Ministry of Sports paves the way for sustainable video-game development in France.
